Exclusive Highway for Animals

Highway renders people travel convenience, but can also be a perilous thoroughfare for wild animals. Beneath some highways are pathways for wild animals, through which they can cross the road safely. Chung Chi College has also established highways and animal pathways, and users are mostly wild animals. No traces of Chung Chi teachers and students can be observed there. This special “pathway” is the balustrade along Pond Crescent, which is popular among squirrels and ants, and beneath which is the animal passageway always passed by birds and snakes. Two decades ago, duck mothers brought with her ducklings commuting from Lake Ad Excellentiam to Chung Chi library through this “highway”. “Universal fraternity is the most noble gift.” The God’s love benefits countless people, and also wild animals.
