The IIN&IIKG has adopted the Jolly Phonics for the English curriculum. Jolly Phonics is a multi-sensory method to introduce the children to the 44 main letter sounds. Each sound has a storyline with key vocabulary, a song to further give it context and action to help remember the sound. The learning process is first to teach children to read words by blending sounds. The reading skill will be developed from forming letters to words then to sentences.
