Message from the Principal

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Marymount Secondary School, a Catholic girls’ school sponsored by the Christian Life Community (CLC). We provide students with a learning environment conducive to the pursuit of quality and whole-person development. The word ‘Magis’—Latin for ‘more’, is central to students’ and teachers’ work as we search for excellence. 

In MSS, we believe in the fullest possible development of each person’s individual capacities. Students are empowered to become independent learners with 21st Century Competencies and guided to be persons who embrace the MSS core values—Reverence, Gratitude, Compassion, Integrity, Perseverance and Wisdom. It is also a place for grooming future leaders who are committed to contributing positively to our society and the world. 

‘The Lord is My Light’ is our school motto. God has been our guiding light since 1927.  This year, we will celebrate our 95th Anniversary.  We thank God for all the graces He has showered upon us. As we look to the future, we have faith in the Spirit who guides us.
