Teaching & Learning LEAD+

S2 LEAD+

In 2004-2005, about 20 students from Form 2 and three teachers were selected to take part in the LEAD project (Learning through Engineering, Art and Design) sponsored by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Group. This project which stimulates creativity takes the form of a robotics presentation of engineering, computer programming and art skills. Besides the presentation of models, students also participated in catwalks to present their work with the "crickets" at a Showcase in Cyberport towards the end of the second term.

A school-based LEAD programme based on the same principles, for all Form 2 students, was incorporated into the Computer Literacy curriculum from September 2005 and implemented in the second term.

In March and June 2018 the Principal and 5 other teachers joined the Catalyst Education

Lab MIT Professional Development Tour sponsored by a private donor, and went to MIT to

experience the motto of : ‘Hands and Minds’.  The MIT experience led to the newly revamped LEAD+ programme.  The programme is now a one-year programme, with components of Design Thinking, empathy, creativity, 3D-Printing, Makey-Makey, and other technologies and students pitch their learning outcomes at a Showcase in June every year.
