STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME

 

Application forms for the student financial assistance can be picked up from the school office during office hours or collected from district government offices. Students can download the application forms via the SFO website: www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo/tc/index.htm.

 

Students can apply for the School Textbook Assistance Scheme, The Student Travel Subsidy Scheme or The Subsidy Scheme for Internet Access Charges (using the same form). The subsidies will be given based on a student’s family financial status.

 

Students will receive replies regarding their applications from the relevant government department. Students should hand in the ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATES (IN YELLOW) they receive from the government to the school (through the class teachers) for verification.

 

Students will receive the following subsidies if they are successful in their application.

School Textbook Assistance - HALF OR FULL
Student Travel Subsidy - HALF OR FULL
Subsidy Scheme for Internet Access Charges - HALF OR FULL

 

 

MTR STUDENT TRAVEL SCHEME

 

Students who wish to enjoy the concessionary MTR fares under the Scheme are required to use Personalized Octopus. If students do not possess a Personalised Octopus with “Student Status”, they may apply for one at the start of the academic year. Students promoted to Form 4 possessing a Personalised Octopus with “Student Status” should activate/renew the “Student Status” on their Octopus to continue enjoying student concessionary MTR fares before the expiry date, which normally falls on 31st October every year.

If students want to continue to enjoy concessionary fares while waiting for the replacement Personalised Octopus, they must go to any MTR Customer Service Centre (except Airport Express stations, Racecourse, Wong Chuk Hang, Lei Tung, South Horizons, Hin Keng, Kai Tak, Sung Wong Toi and To Kwa Wan stations) to purchase a “Temporary Student Octopus” and obtain temporary proof of their  "Student Status".
